UFOP promotes a Portuguese as a Foreign Language course for students of different learning levels. The classes aim to offer not only the grammatical teaching of the language, but also encompasses socio-cultural interaction between the participants, and Brazilian culture.
The course focuses on educational exchange practices between Brazilian Portuguese and the students' native languages so that they can express themselves well at the university and abroad. The classes cover writing, comprehension, and oral presentations, as well as elements used daily outside the classroom by the students.
