The Professional Master's in Geotechnical Engineering is a graduate program accredited by CAPES with Grade 4 and offered regularly by the School of Mines’ Geotechnical Center (Núcleo de Geotecnia - NUGEO). The course is aimed at civil engineers, geologists, mining engineers, and professionals from related fields. The program’s length is of 24 months, being subdivided into six concentration areas: 1) Dam Geotechnics; 2) Geotechnics Applied to Mining; 3) Pavement Geotechnics; 4) Risk Management in Geotechnics and Natural Disasters; 5)Geological-Geotechnical Investigation of Rock Massifs (Emphasis on Drilling); and 6) Containment Geotechnics and Foundations Engineering.
