The Health and Nutrition Graduate Program (Programa de Pós-Graduação em Saúde e Nutrição - PPGSN) belongs to UFOP’s School of Nutrition (ENUT) and seeks to train qualified researchers and teachers. It also aims to contribute to the development of scientific and technological knowledge in the different fields of Health and Nutrition.
The program, which offers both Master and Doctorate degrees, presents one concentration area (Health and Nutrition), which is structured in two lines of research: (1) Experimental bases in Health, Food, and Nutrition and (2) Health and Nutrition in individuals and communities.
The student graduated from this program should be able to plan and conduct research in the different areas of Health and Nutrition, using scientific and methodological rigor, having intellectual independence and creativity. It is also expected that the egress will be able to participate in multidisciplinary teams, contributing to their adequate performance and that they acquire individual and team skills to produce knowledge applied to improve the population’s health and nutrition.
