The Mineral Engineering Graduate Program (Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Mineral - PPGEM) aims at preparing masters and doctorate students to be qualified professionals in the Mineral Engineering field, applying its fundamentals to develop teaching and research activities in academic institutions or in the field.
The Masters in Mineral Engineering began its activities in March 1998 and the Doctorate in 2015. Both programs enable the studies in two concentration areas: - Mining and Ore Processing.
The professionals graduated by this program should have a critical view regarding sustainable development and its applications. The research works that have been developed have a strong support from regional and non-regional companies due to their immediate application in solving Mine Engineering problems.
