On November 20th, the Coordinator of International Affairs, Jaqueline Pinheiro Schultz, met with the UFOP's Rector, Professor Cláudia Marliére, and the Rector of the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia (UPTC), Professor Alfonso López Díaz, to sign a cooperation agreement between the two universities.
The agreement, which runs until 2023, provides international academic mobility for undergraduate and postgraduate students, professors and technical-administrative staff in order to bring closer and strengthen scientific, cultural and educational links and relations, as well as to support the quality improvement of the process of academic-scientific qualification of both higher education institutions.
For Jaqueline, signing the agreement is an important landmark in the consolidation of relations between UFOP and UPTC, which are already occurring mainly through the Department of Education. One of the objectives is the establishment of specific double degree agreements, which will significantly contribute to the postgraduate and to the research developed in both institutions.
Also participating in the meeting were the Vice-Rector of UFOP, Professor Hermínio Arias Nalini Júnior, and the Professor José Rubens Lima Jardilino, from UFOP’s Department of Education.
