The teaching program in Mathematics prepares professionals to work with the teaching in areas from the secondary cycle of elementary and high schools, in order to develop reflections on the pedagogic creation and its implications in the social reality. This program also intends to capacitate teachers to work in a critical way in education activity fields, showing scientific, reflexive, and creative posture.
The Mathematics Program has branches in the cities of Alterosa, Barão de Cocais, João Monlevade, Salinas, Araguari, Ipatinga, Conselheiro Lafaiete, Araçuaí, Itabira, Lagamar, Caratinga; and in the cities of the state of São Paulo de Apiaí, São José dos Campos, Jales, Itapevi, and São João da Boa Vista.
The Teaching Degree trains Mathematics professors to work in basic education (elementary school, after the 6th period, and in high schools).
