The Environmental Engineering Graduate Program (Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Ambiental - ProAmb) is one of the main Environmental Engineering Graduate Programs in Brazil. The program offers master and doctorate degrees, both stricto sensu, in Environmental Engineering. Its concentration areas are: 1) Environmental Technologies, with the following lines of research: a) Development of environmentally-friendly materials; b) Microbiology applied to waste treatment and recovery of value-added energy and products; c) Water treatment; and d) Wastewater and solid wastes treatment; 2) Environment, with the following lines of research: a) Environmental impact assessment and environmental licensing; b) Solid wastes management, natural resources management, and environmental policy; c) Corporate environmental management; and d) Air, water, and soil quality,and 3) Water Resources, with Integrated water resources planning as its line of research
The program is aimed at applicants from several fields, including Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Political Sciences, among others.
