The Computer Science Graduate Program (Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciência da Computação - PPGCC) aims to prepare qualified professionals to research and teach. It also intends to contribute to the evolution of scientific and technological knowledge in the Computer Science field. Furthermore, it is expected that graduates will be able to apply this knowledge in the evaluation, specification and development of new tools, models, methods, and computer systems.
In order to achieve these skills, directed to a solid professional and academic formation, the Masters in Computer Science is structured in the concentration area of Computer science and three lines of research: 1) Computational Intelligence and Optimization; 2) Information Retrieval and Treatment; and 3) Computational Systems.
