The Chemistry Program intends to train qualified professionals in several fields of chemistry, while also seeking a critical background with transformational actions in the current days. The curriculum allows knowledge acquisition in four interdisciplinary strands, aiming at the overall training of the student: chemistry courses from other areas of natural sciences; courses and activities related to didactics; courses and activities related to pedagogic practice; courses related to humanistic training for the full exercise of citizenship.
The professional completing the chemistry program may work, immediately after their graduation, as a chemistry teacher in basic education (elementary or high school) or may exercise consulting activities, forensic chemistry, reports and opinions preparation, research from this area, physicochemical physical-chemical, bromatological, toxicological, and quality control analysis.
